So you want to know how many of what you can get per day in the Goods Exchange. Here you go! Note that this data was mined 07.18.2018 and it is all available in game. This just lets you see what and how many per days you can get IF you have 2 million in value per day per category.
We’re running conquest for the first time in BAR in 207 and I’m writing this Beginner’s Guide to Conquest for them. Of course others can gain some beginner help too! I’m not going to go deep or outline details. This is just a general guide to get you started.
How to Get Points
You accumulate points by defending ore at home or gathering ore in another kingdom.
The more ore you possess the faster you gain points. It is vital to grab ore asap – the leader after 24 hours usually takes #1.
When you are gathering ore one troop or a march will gain the same amount of ore – what you gather per minute depends on your points and how much ore is in the building.
When defending ore points are distributed based on ore possessed and distributed among those who are defending a building – based on troop power they send. So a t10 player can gain more points than a t9 if both send the same number of troops when defending or gathering in the same building.
Do NOT garrison your troops. Tap on “Clarent Ore Details” then “Send Troops”
You cannot defend or recapture alliance buildings while BUBBLED.
You can bubble AFTER sending your troops to the alliance building.
If you have 100k ore or LESS in an alliance building you will gain a significant boost to your stats when defending ore in that building.
If you have MORE than 100k ore the attacker gains a significant boost in that building.
If you are 80 million power or less – GOOD NEWS. You are a gathering machine! If you can clear your stronghold with 5 marches you can gather all the ore you want – unless your marches in buildings are killed – without losing your troops.
Select the alliance building with the most ore.
Send your march to plunder.
Rally out your remaining troops – do 1 hour rallies.
It is important to note that you should NEVER join a rally while participating in conquest unless it is announced as a rally.
You will have a TON of rally spam. Just ignore it. Delete. Move on.
ONE troop will gather the same amount of ore as a full march. The amount of ore each building will provide per minute is based upon the amount of ore within the building. It CHANGES.
If more than one march enters a building to gather – the same amount of ore will be collected. The points from this gathering is distributed based on troop POWER. So send your t10s if you’re looking for a point boost.
If the building you enter has over 100k ore you have a boost advantage. It can be easy to defend against bigger natural boosts this way.
That Is It
Really. That is all there is to this event. Sure there are strategies and such – but that isn’t the point of this post.
Drop a comment – or mail Purls, Game, or Dew in game.
I’m taking a vacation. Not the kind you’re thinking of. I’m still going to work every day and if anything putting in more hours. No I’m taking a vacation from social media. It started last week. On day 9 and I think tomorrow will be my last vacay day. Maybe.
What does this mean? It means I took a break from editing YouTube videos. Even filming for them. I did some blogging but it wasn’t a chore. It was fun and refreshing.
Really I needed to step back and evaluate what I’m doing. My brand has always been Purls HQ the gamer. But I’m so much more. I expanded my blog to include the wife and workaholic. It is a thin line for me because I’m careful to keep personal offline.
Really the blog is where I can ramble. It is somewhat anonymous. My real identity is hidden and most people don’t even know my first name. Its Christine if you were wondering.
I’ve been hyper focused on work and perhaps that’s why the vacation. KVK is cancelled for another month so I don’t have much to plan or do in game outside farming. Conquest starts in a few days and there is that. I went to BAR as they have never done conquest. Any version. So we brought some big guns to help out and wrangle ore while everyone else defends.
Maybe I’ll con some people to join discord and we’ll have some good old fashioned fighting fun. The alliance is pushing 6 billion power and that is after people dropped to exclude themselves from the event. We expect some beasts.
Good chance for me to test myself. I have accomplished all but my sh 32 goal so far and I still have a month for that. I have more to do for boosts but at least I have the gear and gems and can work on enhancing and leveling them. I have centered my focus on heros and banners.
Heros have been an item I set aside for a long time. It was a part of my plan to focus on them once banners and gear was set. The new hero and even more coming means I picked a great time for this focus. I got Isobel to 4 stars so March cap is done. I replaced Balin with Grifflet and he is almost 4 stars. Grifflet worked better for me on boosts and using blue over purple can be advantageous.
Banners were put on hold for deathseeker and I’m focused on them again. Easy with spire loot and the spirit store and passive banners that just collect. Goal is to max my buildings on 30 prestige and then upgrade them to 31 and max that with banners. Maybe before our next match? Gives me a month and who knows what the anniversary even has on store…
The most difficult lesson to learn is when to fight and when to surrender. We were confident going into this matchup. Perhaps too much. We had not invaded in a while and many fingers are itching.
Our matches increased in difficulty as our core team grew in strength and unity. We want from conquering two to one to barely defending. We remained vigilant and grew close as friends.
It is not unusual to develop close relationships in games. We are no exception. We have fun just chatting and catching up with each others lives.
I’m truly blessed to know and fight at their sides. Now you can get in the action with us.
I scouted our opponents first thing and soon discovered we were facing two beasts. We had no interest in straying from our forest but were curious.
Since we couldn’t know what we’d face we played safe as always in round one. No one in the forest and minimal troops in towers. We wanted to protect against severe losses and be portable if invading was favorable.
All was quiet for several hours. Then touchdown! Visitors from k218. We expected them to invade but hoped they would take on k329 first. Nope.
We are playing it slow. Discussing options. It’s always a game of cat or mouse and sometimes you don’t know if you are the prey or predator.
We were the prey. By defending in a difficult match we were rewarded with an even more difficult one. If we had been conquered and not allied with k277 we may have lost our throne and ended with a fair match. But as always allies proved beneficial.
Yeah. So suicide. We all have pain points and until you reach it you don’t stop. We discuss these in discord and anyone an tap out with zero judgment. Unless you’re in the throne. Tap out of that before you enter because once you do you cannot leave unless the bubble throws you off or you are massacred.
Its one march. No big deal. If you aren’t willing to lose it do not send it. Towers included. It is rare that we evacuate a throne and only if it gives us a strategic edge. Towers are evacuated most often but we’ll usually take a hit or two if we are unsure of stats. Even a loss gives good information on what you have to battle.
It is for that reason you should never mega or put strong stats as tower lead in a new match up. You should use enough troops to get a report and the more people you have in each will share the death burden.
We didn’t. But as you saw scouts yield accurate data if you know how to read them. We also knew we were all going to die by speed hitting. We lost but we didn’t give up.
Sure we ended up surrendering but in the end it was wiser than our k329 opponents. I’ll cover their match in another post. But let’s just say we didn’t want to lose all our troops to lose the throne. To what end but to cripple ourselves and gain nothing in return.
I’m fact our k277 ally Jun was beneficial in the negotiations. He knew the king of k218, called Mega Nugget by us in k207, and took our demands for a peaceful surrender to him.
We had lost a lot in the battle and over a short span of time. 45 minutes. So much by the king that he acquired the big gold ressurecton pack. What we needed was time. To gather the rss people were short and speed to train on the buff. k218 agreed to delay in conquering and we abdicated the throne.
At times we regretted it but the pros outweighed the cons for us. By not gaining any throne this matchup we are resetting our difficulty. We are also able to grow as a kingdom. In addition we get a vacation. It has been hard core KVK for many many months and some significant others of certain gamers are starting to feel the effects.
Plus I get a nice vacation from planning and I can focus on my castle. And sleep in. That is what I will enjoy most!
So I haven’t posted new blog content in a while and this is because I’ve been very busy. Preparing for KVK and real-life #Work.
I started this blog as a platform for my game experience and will continue to post here. I enjoy writing. I started uploading videos to YouTube with the intent of embedding in my website. What I didn’t realize is that I’d enjoy editing them and using them as my primary content.
Don’t worry, I’ll still post for every KVK – maybe not every round but at least a summary of the match-up.
There are a ton of reference sites out there with data on requirements for SH and other buildings. Plus all the other changes and events and such. It was suggested that I add this content to my site; however I’m honestly not interested in slaving over that (and having to stay up on updates) for a few views.
If you like my content I ask that you share your appreciation by clicking like/subscribe. Even commenting! While I write and post videos for myself – the process is fun – I also want to publish relevant content for those who have shown this appreciation.
So, if you have a suggestion – let me know! Drop a comment anywhere on any of the platforms I use or meet me on Discord! I practically live there.
This contest made me and those in k207 very happy because I’ve been documenting KVK for some time and it will pay off with a hero for not only me but those I’ve captured. Enter the KOA Video Contest.
I let everyone know that they are welcome to use those I’ve previously uploaded or if they want an unbranded clip to be uploaded that I’d be happy to re-edit one for them. It is a bit of a time investment from me; however they are like family and we help each other. Plus I’m hosting it so by default it may attract views and subscribers. However I’m happy to email the files off or provide a download link if a user wishes to host it themselves. Many don’t want to fuss with YouTube so it is a win-win!
I’ve titled every video for KOA Contest so it is apparent what the video is for. It is a mix of older and newer content. Most of it is unbranded because this isn’t about me but them. In some – mostly older clips – my dashboard is present which ruins some of the effect.
I’ve learned a bit as I’ve published to YouTube and most important is a good video to edit. This means uninterrupted by chat and mail and misc things we do when we play and aren’t always conscious of. I also try to keep my dashboard off screen and even developed a branding that hides the chat box – because sometimes what we say detracts from the video. If not I bring it up and give a showing of alliance chat as needed.
Music is most important and sometimes that can take the longest. You have to find the right beat and sound and the music should punctuate what is on the screen. I sometimes watch a video several times before I find the right music. In fact I usually have to watch a clip five or more times during just the editing process. I take out things like chat and loading screens and content that just isn’t vital to the subject. One of my trademarks is speed – I’ll super speed a section rather than cut it out – and slow it down just before the boom. So a three minute video may have been an hour long – which means I spent at least three to five hours editing just for that one clip.
It’s fun and as I learn more and more about the editor I use I’m able to really show my creativity. If you watch my YouTube from oldest to newest you’ll see what I mean.
The next step is to provide voice – either as said while recording or a later voice-over. I’ve already started playing with that. Testing how it affects subs and likes and such. While I do publish this for myself it is important that it is something others like to watch or else why make it public.
I’m always interested in what people think and I engage anyone who comments. So don’t be shy, let me know if you like or dislike. Just don’t be rude and malicious – that isn’t constructive feedback just trolling. Trolls don’t get approved comments.
Below is the playlist for this effort. Some have already been published and others are brand new never seen before content. Bookmark this playlist or better yet – subscribe!
A new rule was implemented in k207 to ensure we had ample troops for the event. Alliances were required to send 10% of their membership to KVK to be safe on KE. Sometimes a little healthy fear is necessary. There is no more kill event mercy.
To some in chaotic war kingdoms this sounds unfair; however we have had peace for a long time and this has made KE peaceful as well. This was intended to allow growth for KVK. Then the alliances started sending less and less each round. This meant the same group of people were rebuilding every event.
We rule fair and abide by the rules we implement. Every decision we make as kingdom leaders is for k207 and not for ourselves. If the opposite were true we would feed our dragons every KE. We had no intent to disable our kingdom if an alliance failed to send the required amount; however examples would be made.
The point being that you send troops for KVK and get a 300% buff to rebuild and k207 shares in the losses or fail to help and lose your troops entirely by those who bleed every KVK. If you enjoy the peace a small sacrifice is required. Or peace will end.
It was a wakeup call and everyone joined together. We received so many people that we had to boot farmers. Our usual size is less than 50 members which is just 7 main accounts and the rest farms. I have not completed the final tally but it is approximately 75 people all in.
We ended up with rank 4 globally and were not disappointed. It did not dissuade k133 from invading which created a 400 million power loss for k207. Instead of this being spread across 10 players it was spread among 50 and was easier to swallow by all.
As you can see sometimes rules are good to have and in the end we still had the troops to keep going and walked away victors. As I write this post, k207 and k277 are done. Only k133 remains and I don’t expect they will be allowed to gain their throne without more heat.
They poked the bears in k207 and k277 and at this point it is a matter of ego and pride. We will never meet them outside spire and firelands and this is the last time we can give them a what-for in KVK and show them that while we may be weaker we have a bigger heart and an amazing team who coordinates every detail.
I do have some amazing footage to share of KVK 27 and 28. If you have not already please subscribe to my YouTube channel. I often post content there that I do not feature on my blog.
I also created a Twitter account with the intent of publishing my day to day thoughts. I love our KOA community and ask if you enjoy my contribution to please follow me on one of the many platforms I use.
Sometimes there are things I cannot share because it may affect the rest of a match in KVK in unfavorable ways.
We were matched with k133 and k277 for KVK 26 – 28. Both proper beasts in comparison to k207. It was our hard/impossible match. Usually we lose 2 out of 3 defenses on these match ups. This time we are proud that we defended our kingdom and won the throne all three rounds. It is expected that our next match will be easy/equal. These are our invasion rounds and quite fun.
The untold truth of this match is that we allied with k277 in KVK 26. When Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp aka Rider, Sampson, Tornado, and Wood in k133 invaded k207 early on we gave them a fight. Then they left us, slightly wounded, and invaded k277. I immediately added k277’s strongest, Guardian, as a contact and we exchanged quick hellos.
Then he asked if we could ally. We created a room in game and in Line. It was great. K277 has a similar culture to us and out of the three kingdoms were the bigger beast – imo – this matchup. You don’t turn down that type of alliance in KVK after being manhandled by the other kingdom.
Guardian of k277 proves the point I’ve tried to make to others and slaughtered k133.
Stats > SH
It was amusing to see a sh32 murder sh35’s. He is now sh33 and as others should, he maxes out before upgrading a stronghold. He is also a decent guy and we had a lot of fun together.
Guardian was not on the k277 throne when KVK started. It seemed another alliance was given a chance to see what KVK was all about. We were told by Guardian that his 277 alliance which held the kingdom would not interfere with our fun in their kingdom. Were given two hours to invade for some Dragon xp before he would start their throne timer for defense.
The issue we faced was we didn’t have sufficient troops to stack everything and invade. We did not want to leave ourselves open to attacks from k133 but also wanted to have a little fun.
We sent Unicorn Police, Unicorn Porn, Cunning Stunt, and Scrubalotimus to take towers. These are just farms of our core KVK group and they often provide comedic fun to our invasions. Due to technical difficulties I only captured Scrub.
Then Game decided that he’d port over to lead a mega rally and brought his farm KK to join. I was unable to join on Purls as I was defending k207; however I sent my alt sh26 H.Q. Dew was not in a building and neither was another core player The Dude. Dew brought his alt NomNom as well.
Game started with a solo hit and that did not end well. We knew the stats but were distracted and it didn’t register until the hit was done. Just one of those things.
In the end, we had some fun and still managed to keep k207 secure. After defending we visited k133 with Guardian and played tower hockey for some time. Because we could. Because they messed with us first. They failed to do their research and lacked the experience required to lead a successful invasion. I hope they learned lessons this KVK and wish them the best on future matches.
