When to Fight and When to Surrender

The most difficult lesson to learn is when to fight and when to surrender.  We were confident going into this matchup. Perhaps too much. We had not invaded in a while and many fingers are itching.

Our matches increased in difficulty as our core team grew in strength and unity. We want from conquering two to one to barely defending. We remained vigilant and grew close as friends.

It is not unusual to develop close relationships in games. We are no exception. We have fun just chatting and catching up with each others lives.

I’m truly blessed to know and fight at their sides. Now you can get in the action with us.

KVK 29

I scouted our opponents first thing and soon discovered we were facing two beasts. We had no interest in straying from our forest but were curious.

Since we couldn’t know what we’d face we played safe as always in round one. No one in the forest and minimal troops in towers. We wanted to protect against severe losses and be portable if invading was favorable.

All was quiet for several hours. Then touchdown! Visitors from k218. We expected them to invade but hoped they would take on k329 first. Nope.

We are playing it slow. Discussing options. It’s always a game of cat or mouse and sometimes you don’t know if you are the prey or predator.

We were the prey. By defending in a difficult match we were rewarded with an even more difficult one. If we had been conquered and not allied with k277 we may have lost our throne and ended with a fair match. But as always allies proved beneficial.

Yeah. So suicide. We all have pain points and until you reach it you don’t stop. We discuss these in discord and anyone an tap out with zero judgment. Unless you’re in the throne. Tap out of that before you enter because once you do you cannot leave unless the bubble throws you off or you are massacred.

Its one march. No big deal. If you aren’t willing to lose it do not send it. Towers included. It is rare that we evacuate a throne and only if it gives us a strategic edge. Towers are evacuated most often but we’ll usually take a hit or two if we are unsure of stats. Even a loss gives good information on what you have to battle.

It is for that reason you should never mega or put strong stats as tower lead in a new match up. You should use enough troops to get a report and the more people you have in each will share the death burden.

We didn’t. But as you saw scouts yield accurate data if you know how to read them. We also knew we were all going to die by speed hitting. We lost but we didn’t give up.

Sure we ended up surrendering but in the end it was wiser than our k329 opponents. I’ll cover their match in another post. But let’s just say we didn’t want to lose all our troops to lose the throne. To what end but to cripple ourselves and gain nothing in return.

I’m fact our k277 ally Jun was beneficial in the negotiations. He knew the king of k218, called Mega Nugget by us in k207, and took our demands for a peaceful surrender to him.

We had lost a lot in the battle and over a short span of time. 45 minutes. So much by the king that he acquired the big gold ressurecton pack. What we needed was time. To gather the rss people were short and speed to train on the buff. k218 agreed to delay in conquering and we abdicated the throne.

At times we regretted it but the pros outweighed the cons for us. By not gaining any throne this matchup we are resetting our difficulty. We are also able to grow as a kingdom. In addition we get a vacation. It has been hard core KVK for many many months and some significant others of certain gamers are starting to feel the effects.

Plus I get a nice vacation from planning and I can focus on my castle. And sleep in. That is what I will enjoy most!
