In the days of old, Avalon was protected by enchanted tools drawn from the order of the cosmos. Those ancient Artifacts have been long lost.
There is a new statue replacing the waterfall in your city. Clicking on her will reveal new options for stats. Since I reviewed this in beta we were provided a lot of free materials to test the new feature and as you can see below I have activated a few Avalon Artifacts. Yes, those are maxed artifacts and max stats per. On a stronghold 17.
Activating a Tome – Base Stats
Before you can craft an artifact, you get to choose a Green, Blue, or Purple Tome as your starter. These cost Holy Dust. Holy Dust is consumed forever when making a Tome. You cannot dismantle it to get your dust back.
Once you activate a Tome you can craft as many artifacts as you want from it! Think of it like selecting your building plans and then constructing. A new concept for KOA. You can craft four types of artifacts twice. So each tomb will make two artifacts.
Artifacts use Lake Gravel and Enchanted Mist when enhanced but to make the artifact you only need gravel. Stock up on that and dust to get started.
The Tome will always be with you. So choose wisely before selecting your grade.
Well, it is beta after all so of course I selected purple to start. I had enough materials to make the two max level artifacts I showed originally.
About Ancient Artifacts
Well if you’re going all in the best way is to acquire the mats via Lucky Shot. Per my sources this requires approximately 130 coins to get the gravel for purple crafting. You just have to reset the board a few times and use 1 coin every reset.
I’ve cleared one board – it went exactly in order left to right top to bottom.
It is with sadness I write this post. I have been with you since February 18, 2017 and my last day will be October 3, 2018. I have decided to migrate to Kingdom 80.
This was not an easy decision to make and I hate that I will no longer be able to play with you guys; however for me it is the right decision to make. It is no secret that I have been unhappy for a while. The only reason I have remained is because I love you all and hoped that Migration would fix our vacancy issues.
Our first Migration has us listed as a departure kingdom only. It also matched us with only one Kingdom. For many of us this Kingdom is filled with people we know and have socialized with for a long time. We are confident that the culture of 80 is similar to 207 and that assimilation will be painless. We cannot guarantee 207 will get another chance to Migrate or that the selection will be as perfect as this one.
I wish everyone the best. You should be able to maintain any kingdom dynamic you wish. Choose your own rules and event schedules. Have fun and farm or socialize. If you want to do KVK – please do. Have fun with it.
It is unlikely we will ever match with you in KVK; however know that if we do that I will not allow Kingdom 80 to invade. If anything we will lend a hand if necessary. If you match with those who left in Conquest – the same. I look forward to the opportunity to battle shoulder to shoulder with you again.
I have decided to not gift my relic. It does not mean I don’t love you guys, only that I feel you should pave your own way. I will either let it be protected by a monster to be found by a lucky soul or leave it unattended on an empty stronghold.
I’m only leaving the kingdom, not the game or you. I will still be in Discord and all of you are welcome to stay. The server will change a little to accommodate this; however it is my hope we can all stay in touch. I will be watching you and wish you every joy the game can offer.
I will make my move official later today and will do one final tour across 207 to not only say farewell to those who wish to remain but to invite those who wish to migrate. In the end it is a personal decision for everyone and I will be saddened no matter who stays or goes.
There are a lot of ways to get lord experience in King of Avalon. In fact it is one of the easiest things to level up. You don’t need to max your lord to 65 to unlock the war skills you need. 58/59 is usually a good place to stop leveling the lord while you focus on other important stats.
Free to Play
Kingdom Threat a.k.a. Golem
So this was nerfed a bit. It used to be that the experience gained would scale with the damage. So players who mastered the art of PVE formations early on benefited the most. This was also when golem was so laggy you had to port and be very fast before the game froze and your buffs died.
Currently you can gain a max of 890 x 500 lord experience per hit, or 445k experience. Times ten hits you’re looking at a cap of 4.45 million experience. This is advantageous because if you’re in a united kingdom those who have maxed their lord no longer push to rank high in golem. So others can gain the perks. At least that is how 207 works.
Getting rank one means an additional 5 million lord experience, for a total of 9.45 million. Getting one of the 21 to 50 ranks will still give you a total of 5.95 million experience. Which is easy to do as long as you’re wearing war gear and have a formation. No gold on buffs required unless you’re in a steroid driven kingdom. Then just pray for migration.
Really this one is negotiable. It depends if you have other priorities where your Magic Crystals could be better spent. Its over 370k crystals for 100k experience. It is laughable to be honest. Most people can only hit spire one a day and that is potentially your entire gain for a day if you farm below 8. Don’t waste your time here, it just doesn’t have the roi other loot traders do.
This is all perspective. It all depends on what you are focusing your trial coins on. I personally used them to level Morgause to 5. The rest just sit pending a need. I used to flip them for 3 hour speedups every day, but you never know when you may need something. Always best to horde than to spend frivolously. Especially if you’re free to play.
Here you get 5000 lord experience for 74 coins. Not a bad exchange. If you kick that up to 74k trial coins – easy enough to get in a week or two – that is 1000 x 5k lord experience or 5 million total. That is handy. For this reason I’d label this as a decent option outside of golem.
Honestly, unless your dragon is 70 there isn’t much you can crucible to trade for lord experience. In fact I’m throwing my lord experience through the crucible to convert to dragon experience. At about 1/5 transfer. Meaning I get 1k experience for my dragon for every 5k item I put in. Unless you have one or the other maxed it is counter productive to use this particular loot trader. But it is an option.
Thes are listed in order of coins spent. As you can see the last 100k experience x 5 for 54,000 coins is the most effective ceremony to run. It is worth saving up even if it delays the experience gain slightly.
100k lord experience for 13,500 coins or 7.4 experience per coin.
180k lord experience for 27,000 coins or for 6.6 experience per coin.
500k lord experience for 54,000 coins or 9.3 experience per coin.

If you’re looking to level fast then packs are a viable option. They can be expensive depending on the experience you require. Honestly, if you’re looking to spend there are far better ways to beef up and get a better return on your money than buying these packs for lord experience. The only reason to buy packs is if you’re an experienced player in a new kingdom looking to gain an edge. If so you probably don’t need this guide.
I’ve written a few posts on Dragon Spirit and how to get to floor 55 in the labyrinth. I recommend reading Dragon Spirit Resources to get a good idea of the basics in regards to VIP and how everything ties together. Then use the below research, gear, runestones, and talents to get yourself to floor 55 and collect the resource bounty!
Dragon Spirit Talents
The talents you use for grinding coins are not the same talents you use for getting past floor 55. At least not with the minimum requirements outlined in this post. For farming coins I recommend a 10/19/10 setup. Where the 10 unlock satchel capacity in each skill tree.
You need to have at least a level 35 dragon spirit in order to equip the orange gear. Any less and you cannot equip the gear, nor will you have enough talent points to get to the talents required to boost your chances at unlocking floor 55.
Notice how I used Knight and that we skipped over the non-essential, non-fight related skills. Simply go across the top until you get to Knight Parry Damage II, then put 5 points in Berserker health, 5 points in Mage health and the last 3 in Health Potion I under Knight tree. Because sometimes you need that extra health boost.
Dragon Spirit Research
Research should be a non-issue. The bare minimum is below. The more you do the better you’ll do. You should be able to research all of this in one sitting. The speed consumption is minimal. Plus most people are doing this on farms which should have excess of everything.
Dragon Spirit Gear
This is the easy part. Really. You just need the orange knight gear. That’s it. No enhancements. If you followed my other guide then you already know the mats required to forge this set.
NOTE: You should use the MAGE chest over the Knight. Because the mana recovery allows you to heal every fight without ever running out.
Dragon Spirit Runestones
Use these runestones. Put them where they fit in the gear. Done. Easy.
I have Dewmaus to thank for this. He has leveled many accounts to unlock floor 55 and through trial and error managed to minimize the requirements to pass that final floor.
There are a lot of ways to get banners in King of Avalon. Many are free if you’re willing to wait. Then there is the option to pay and get as many banners as you can afford.
Free to Play
Outside of the free options below you can also get free banners if an alliance member buys an Alliance Prestige pack or if Merlin is feeling generous and offers 20.
The Alliance Spirit Store has unlimited banners available as long as the alliance has enough Ceremony Crystal’s to stock and you have enough Spirit Coins to buy them. They cost 16 crystals or coins per banner.
Most alliances select The Wander Spirit which returns free banners every week! If you are active and run a few alliance events each week it really isn’t difficult to unlock all the chests. In total there are 3,575 banners via the Alliance Celebration tab every week. Free.
You can purchase up to 300 banners every day from the Magic Spire. You must pass floor 5 to access the banners. Easy enough for any main.

Deals of the Day
You used to be able to acquire these on Saturday; however with the appearance of Dragon Emblems this deal of the day was replaced with emblems. Since prestige cannot be applied past stronghold 35 the demand for banners has dropped. I personally managed to get every building to 30 on prestige without spending a dime on banners.
There are two packs you can buy to get banners. The banner pack and the alliance prestige pack. Only the alliance prestige pack will share with your fellow alliance members. Samples of these packs are below.
Each chest can drop 1400 to 1500 banners.
If you’re looking to see how many banners you need to upgrade your buildings, check out koa.guru.
Many are under the false impression that you ADD the percent of the dragon skill to the percent shown under dragon skill enhancements. Wrong. It would be nice though. KOA is not that nice to us.
Enhancement percentages only apply to the bonus percent that the dragon skill provides. Sounds confusing, I know. Especially since KOA adds other percentages together in the game. Not in this case.
First, you need to know how to find a percent of a percent. Sounds easy right, but if you multiply 60% by 42% you get 2,520%. So that isn’t correct.
In order to calculate a percentage of a percentage, you must first convert both percentages to fractions of 100, or to decimals, and multiply them.
Convert Percentages to Decimals
42 / 100 = 0.42 60 / 100 = 0.60
0.42 * 0.60 = 0.252
Convert Decimal to Percent
0.252 * 100 = 25.2%
So, this would mean that you will gain a boost of 25.2% on Infantry Health by enhancing your Level 27 Infantry Backbone I to 5 stars. But don’t forget that you still get the original 60% boost so you want to add the two together to get the total % your stats will be increased by. For this example it is 85.2%.
Many people don’t realize that you get secondary dragon stats when you upgrade them to 22 plus. Which skills you use should be based not only upon their primary stats but the secondary stats received.
As you approach the mid-fifties on your dragon level you will be able to unlock more and more secondary dragon stats. There is no “one-size-fits-all”. Select the dragon skills based upon your particular needs at the moment. Do not be afraid to reset your dragon skills a few times until you get the right combination.
Dragon Stats Chart
Since you cannot see the secondary stat until you upgrade the your dragon skills to 22 or higher, I’ve created this handy chart for reference.
